KP Oli's government to face no trustable motion in House

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli led ruling coalition has decided to face the no-confidence motion filed against it in the Parliament. Friday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers made this decision.

The Cabinet meeting comes after CPN Maoist Centre, a partner in the ruling coalition, withdrew support to the coalition and filed a no-confidence motion with support from the main opposition Nepali Congress. The meeting discussed latest political developments.

Government Spokesperson Sher Dhan Rai informed: The meeting decided to move ahead by facing the no-confidence motion as per governing constitutional provisions.

The Cabinet decided to grant Rs 10 million to Aditya Academy and appoint Bhawani Rana and Rajesh Kaji Shrestha as members of the Investment Board.

The meeting cancelled citizenship issued to four Indian nationals through Banke district administration and decided to launch an investigation against the issuing authority.
