Inaugurating the Summit, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said after the end of the transition, the country would witness peace and stability. “We became successful to promulgate constitution by forging consensus among the major political parties. I wish the coming government implemented the constitution judiciously,” he said, adding that his party’s views on the new government would depend on its activities.
On the occasion, UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal said political leader has to face betrayal at any time if the agreement is not implemented properly. Chairman of the Universal Peace Federation Nepal and Minister for Peace and Reconstruction, Eknath Dhakal, informed that the conference was organized to discuss the contemporary issues relating to Nepal’s peace.
As many as 68 parliamentarians of 17 political parties have been participating in the event. Even the contemporary global issues specially linked to peace would be discussed there.
