The residents of Kathmandu will soon have a new destination to go on a quick getaway. Once only accessible by foot, the hilltop of Chandragiri, southwest of the Valley, will soon welcome visitors with a newly installed cable car.

The cable cars at Chandragiri will come into operation. From the base station at Godam, near Thankot the 2.5 km ropeway will take you to the top of Chandragiri, where several tourist attractions are under construction. Once completed, the hilltop will not only serve as a vantage point to observe the ever-expanding Kathmandu. Kathmandu Fun Park Pvt Ltd, the company behind the project, a 6D theatre, shopping area, restaurants and a view tower are also being built on the hill top.

Chandragiri is also home the temple of Ichchapureshwor, the god believed to have powers to grant wishes. “The construction work is nearing completion,” says Chandra Dhakal of Kathmandu Fun Park. “We are expecting up to 10,000 visitors during holidays.”

Standing tall at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level, Chandragiri has always been a popular choice among hikers. With the newly installed cable car system, the site will become accessible to even those who do not like hiking. The hill is famous for its ever-changing weather. It is here that a thick blanket of mist forms and then disappears, only to form again. Almost all the major peaks along the northern vista can be seen from the hill. If you look south, we can see the Terai also.

Awarded to Mahabir pun and Bhagawan Koirala

Madan Bhandari National Award for 2071 BS/ 2072 BS to Mahabir Pun and  Bhagawan Koirala which is The Madan Bhadari Foundation conferring.

Pun is being awarded in recognition to his contribution in promoting IT (information Technology in nepal. Dr Koirala for his contribution to the medical sector. The award carries a purse of 1 Lakh rupees each.

The award would be handed to Pun and Dr Koirala on Tuesday coinciding with the 65th  birth anniversary of the popular leader the late Madan Bhandari. Before this, the award had been given to the famous comedy actors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansha Acharya and the Marty Park at Hetauda.

DPM CP Mainali urges providing a lump sum of Rs 200,000 to the earthquake

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, CP Mainali, has said that providing a lump sum of Rs 200,000 to the earthquake survivors as demanded by the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, was not possible.

DPM Mainali, who arrived here today to inspects the projects running under the Ministry, said so while taking to media persons. He said that it was not possible to provide a lump sum of Rs 200,000 to quake survivors as the donor agencies would not be agree to provide the amount to the quake victims in a lump sum.

The Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare further said that it would be effective to provide the amount in installment as there was also chance of not constructing houses while providing the amount in a lump sum. Stating that talks were underway to address the demands of the opposition party, he said that although the amount to be provided to quake survivors could be increased even after making some changes in the working procedure, the government could not provide the amount in a lump sum even it wishes. Responding to a query, DPM Mainali said that it would be appropriate to carry out probe into the case if there was politics was done in the name of earthquake survivors.

यी सबै कुरालाई एकातिर राखौं, यतिबेला अनमोल केसीका कारण उनका बुवा भुवन केसी तथा आमा सुस्मिता (बमजन) बीच समेत हानाथाप चलिरहेको छ, अर्थात् अनमोललाई यतिबेला बुवा–आमाले नै तानातान गरिरहेका छन् भनेर अनुमान गर्नेहरू प्रशस्त छन् । रमाइलो कुरा के छ भने बुवा भुवन केसीसँग बत्तीसपुतलीस्थित निवासमा बसोबास गर्ने अनमोल आमा सुस्मिताले चाहेका बेला उनलाई भेट्न उनको निवास लाजिम्पाट समेत पुगिरहन्छन्, अर्थात् अनमोलले बुवा र आमासँगको आफ्नो सम्बन्धलाई ‘सन्तुलन’ मा त राखेका छन् तर बुवा–आमालाई एक ठाउँमा ल्याउन भने असफल देखिएका छन् । 

भन्नेहरूले त भुवन केसीको पहिलो निर्देशनको चलचित्र ‘ड्रिम्स’, जसमा अनमोल केसी नै मुख्य भूमिकामा छन्, त्यसको निर्माण सम्पन्न नहुँदै अनमोलकी आमा सुस्मिताले अनमोलको पपुलारिटीलाई ‘क्यास’ गर्ने उद्देश्यले चलचित्र ‘म त तिम्रै हुँ’ निर्माण गर्ने घोषणा गरिन् पनि भने । त्यसो त प्रारम्भमा सुस्मिताले नै निर्देशन गर्ने भनिएको उक्त चलचित्रमा अनमोल नै अभिनेताका रूपमा प्रस्तुत हुने अनुमान गरिएको थियो, तर सम्पूर्ण अनुमानविपरीत उक्त चलचित्रलाई न त सुस्मिताले निर्देशन गरिन्, न त अनमोलले अभिनेताका रूपमा अभिनय नै गरे । 

बरू सुस्मिताले विगतमा झैं ‘अनमोल क्रिएसन प्रालि’ को ब्यानरमा चलचित्र निर्माण गर्ने घोषणा गरिन् । चलचित्रका अधिकांश सार्वजनिक समारोहमा सुस्मिताले अनमोललाई उपस्थित गराउँदै गइन् । पछिल्लो समय अनमोलको जन्मदिनको अवसर पारेर सुस्मिताले यो चलचित्रको प्रदर्शन मितिसमेत घोषणा गरिन् । 

यसबीच अनमोल केसीको लोकप्रियता दिन प्रतिदिन चुलिँदै गएको छ । यही जेठ महिनाको अन्तिम साता त अनमोलका लागि सबैभन्दा भाग्यशाली नै सावित भयो । एकातिर उनले अभिनय गरेको चलचित्र ‘गाजलु’ ले प्रदर्शनको तेस्रो दिन नै एक करोड रुपैयाँको व्यवसाय गरेर कीर्तिमान कायम गर्‍यो भने यही साता उनलाई निर्माता सुवास गिरीले आफ्नो नयाँ चलचित्र ‘कृ’ का लागि नेपाली चलचित्रको इतिहासमै सबैभन्दा बढी पारिश्रमिक दिएर अनुबन्ध गरे । करिब एक वर्षपछि छायांकन प्रारम्भ हुने उक्त चलचित्रका लागि निर्माता गिरीले अभिनेता केसीलाई पारिश्रमिक स्वरूप ‘बीस लाख रुपैयाँ’ दिनेछन् । 

यी दुई उत्साहजनक घटनासँग अनमोलका बुवा भुवन केसी प्रत्यक्ष जोडिएका छन् । केही महिनाअघि भुवन केसीद्वारा निर्देशित पहिलो चलचित्र ‘ड्रिम्स’ ले व्यवसायिक सफलता हासिल गर्दा त्यसको श्रेय अभिनेता अनमोल केसीलाई गयो । ‘होस्टल’ तथा ‘जेरी’ पछि अनमोलले ‘ड्रिम्स’ मा सफलताको ह्याट्रिक गरे । 

‘कृ’ मा सर्वाधिक पारिश्रमिक लिइरहेको बेला अनमोलका बुवा भुवन केसी पनि उक्त चलचित्रका निर्मातामध्येका एक भएका छन्, अर्थात् भुवनले अनमोललाई एक्लै छाडेका छैनन् । करिब दुई महिना लामो अस्ट्ेरलिया–बेलायतको भ्रमणमा भुवन र अनमोलसँगै थिए । चलचित्र ‘ड्रिम्स’ को प्रदर्शनका लागि विदेशमा रहेका उनीहरू यो चलचित्र पाइरेसी भएको खबरसँगै स्वदेश फर्किएका हुन् । स्वदेश फर्किएको अर्को साता नै अनमोलको ‘गाजलु’ प्रदर्शनमा आयो । यो चलचित्र प्रदर्शन भएको तेस्रो दिन नै उनी सर्वाधिक पारिश्रमिक लिने पहिलो नेपाली अभिनेता बने । 

अभिनेता अनमोल केसीले भने आफ्ना कारणले बुवा–आमाबीच तानातान भैरहेको अनुभव नगरेको स्पष्ट पारेका छन् । बुवा भुवन केसी तथा आमा सुस्मिता बमजनलाई उत्तिकै महत्व दिँदै अनमोलले भनेका छन् —‘मलाई बुवा र आमा छुट्टिएर बस्दा पनि खासै नरमाइलो फिल भएको छैन, किनभने म सानो छँदै उहाँहरूको डिभोर्स भएको हो । मलाई क्लास वानदेखि टेनसम्मै होस्टेलमा राखिदिनुभयो । डिभोर्सको कुरा एसएलसी सक्किएर होस्टेलबाट निस्किएपछि मात्र भन्नुभयो । एउटा जोडी एक–अर्कासँग खुसी छैन भने छुट्टिएकै राम्रो हो । म अहिले दुवै जनासँग नियमित सम्पर्कमा छु, म बुवासँग बसे पनि मलाई आमाको पनि सपोर्ट छ ।’ 

नायिका सुस्मिता बमजन केसीले पनि अनमोललाई आफूले तानातान गरेको कुरालाई अस्वीकार गरेकी छिन् । ‘हो अनमोल मेरो छोरा हो, सुस्मिता भन्छिन्– ‘उसको स्टारडमलाई मैले क्यास गर्ने भए त ‘म त तिम्रै हुँ’ मा अनमोल नै हिरो हुन्थ्यो, चलचित्रको कथाले अनमोललाई नमागेपछि मैले जबरजस्ती गरिन ।’ छोराका रूपमा म उसलाई असाध्यै माया गर्छु, अनमोलले पनि मलाई माया गर्छ, तर निर्मातीका रूपमा स्थापित हुन अनमोललाई मैले जबरजस्ती प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ जस्तो लाग्दैन । 

अनमोल काठमाडौं बाहिर जाँदा होस् अथवा नेपाल बाहिर जाँदा होस्, आफूलाई नभेटी, आफ्नो अनुहार नहेरी कहीँ पनि नजाने बताउँदै सुस्मिताले अनमोललाई ‘संस्कारी छोरा’ को संज्ञा दिइन् । ‘अहिले पनि म कहाँ आउँछ, आफूलाई मन लागेको खानेकुरा खान मन लाग्यो भने मलाई भन्छ, म पकाएर ख्वाउँछु, सुस्मिताका अनुसार अनमोल जस्तो छोरा पाउनु उनी स्वयं तथा आफ्ना पूर्वश्रीमान् भुवन केसीका लागि पनि गौरवको कुरा हो । 

सुस्मिताले भविष्यमा अनमोललाई अभिनेताका रूपमा लिएर भुवन केसीको सुपर काजोल फिल्म्स तथा आफ्नो अनमोल क्रिएसनले नयाँ चलचित्र निर्माण गर्न सक्ने सम्भावनालाई भने नकारिनन् । ‘म र भुवनजी पुन: एक हुन त सक्दैनौं, सुस्मिता भन्छिन्—‘तर हामीबीच व्यवसायिक सम्बन्ध पनि गाँसिदैन भनेर म भन्दिनँ ।’ 

 त्यसो त निर्माता, निर्देशक तथा अभिनेता भुवन केसीले पनि छोरा अनमोललाई कुनै पनि काममा जबरजस्ती नगरेको दाबी गरेका छन् । ‘अनमोलले हरेक काम मसँग सल्लाह गरेर मात्र गर्छ, भुवन केसी भन्छन्—‘म चलचित्र क्षेत्रको अनुभवी व्यक्ति भएकाले मात्र होइन म उसको अभिभावक भएकाले पनि उसले मसँग हरेक कुरा सल्लाह गर्छ ।’ भुवन अनमोल आफ्नो छोरा भएकाले उसको हरेक राम्रो तथा नराम्रो कुराको जिम्मा आफ्नो काँधमा भएको दाबी गर्छन् ।

मुख्य कुरा फलामे ढोका मानिने एमबीबीएस अध्ययनका लागि न्यूनतम अङ्क र छात्रवृत्तिका लागि विज्ञान विषयहरुमा उत्कृष्ट नम्बर ल्याउनुपर्ने हुन्छ । कागझैँ धेरै बाठा भएर डाक्टर बन्ने सपनामा रमाइरहेकालाई नक्कली प्रमाणपत्रले सपना सकार बनाउँदै आएको थियो ।

म यहाँ नक्कली भन्ने शब्दबारे केही भन्न चाहेको छु । कसैले नक्कली डाक्टरको आरोप लगाउँदैमा हुन्छ र ? आरोपको खण्डन गर्ने प्रशस्त बाटाहरु छन् । बहस, प्रतिबहसहरु हुनेछन् । दोषीलाई दोषमुक्त हुन कानुनी उपचार हाम्रोसामु विद्यमान छ । हाम्रो चिन्तन र शैली फरक छ । कसैले नराम्रो भन्दैमा हुबहु उही चर्चा गरिन्छ । डाक्टरी प्रमाणपत्र त एमबीबीएसपछि प्राप्त हुन्छ । नक्कली डाक्टर भन्नलाई त यो डिग्री नक्कली सावित गर्नुपर्यो । नेपाल मेडिकल काउन्सिलले त डाक्टरी अभ्यास गर्न लाइसेन्स दिने हो ।

हाम्रो अनुगमनका पद्धतिमा नै कहीँ न कही कमजोरी छन् । किनभन मेडिकल पढ्नुभन्दा अगाडि पटकै पटक आफ्ना डकुमेन्टहरु सम्बन्धित निकायमा बुझाउनु पर्छ । त्यतिबेला नै ती कागजातहरुको हेक्का नपुर्याई छात्रवृत्ति दिने संस्थाहरुको खोजी खोजी नगर्ने हो भने यो प्रकृया केही समयपछि झन् जटिल बन्ने छ ।

पेसागत संवेदनशीलतालाई हेर्दा समाजिक ध्यान केन्द्रित हुनु स्वभाविक मानिन्छ । मानिसको विश्वास कायम नै छ, तापनि बिरामी भएर अस्पपताल जाने जोसुकैले पनि मनमा सक्कली कि नक्कली भन्ने शब्दको छाप चाहिँ राखेको हुन्छ । अहिले प्रयास गरिएका कदमलाई टुङ्गोमा पुर्याउनै पर्छ तर पेसामा आबद्ध निर्दोष डाक्टरहरुको समाजिक मानमर्यादामा आँच नआउने गरी कारवाहीको दायरामा ल्याउन सकिए अझ राम्रो हुन्छ ।

हाम्रो अनुगमनका पद्धतिमा नै कहीँ न कही कमजोरी छन् । किनभन मेडिकल पढ्नुभन्दा अगाडि पटकै पटक आफ्ना डकुमेन्टहरु सम्बन्धित निकायमा बुझाउनु पर्छ । त्यतिबेला नै ती कागजातहरुको हेक्का नपुर्याई छात्रवृत्ति दिने संस्थाहरुको खोजी खोजी नगर्ने हो भने यो प्रकृया केही समयपछि झन् जटिल बन्ने छ । साथै एमबीबीएस अध्ययन अध्यापन गराउने संस्थालाई पनि अनुसन्धानको दायरमा ल्याउनु पर्छ । अनि नक्कली सर्टिफिकेट बनाउने विश्वविद्यालय कलेज राष्ट्रिय, अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय कानुनसमेतको खोजी गरी कारवाही गर्नुपर्छ । इजाजत दिएर बिरामीको उपचार गर भन्ने संस्थालाई के गर्ने ? यी सबै पक्षहरुमा हामीले ध्यान पुर्याउनु अत्यावश्यक छ र भोलिका दिनमा शुद्ध समाज निर्माण गर्न हालको बहसले निर्णायक भूमिका खेल्न सक्नेछ ।

यस्ता शैक्षिक ठगी खतरनाक हुन्छन् र यिनले गर्दा अरु क्षमतावानहरु अन्य विद्यार्थीलाई वञ्चित गराए । डाक्टर बन्ने सपना बुनेर कडा परिश्रम गरेका रातदिन मिहिनेत गर्ने प्रतिभाहरुको भविष्यमाथि यी भ्रष्टहरुले खेलवाड गरेका छन् ।

चिकित्सा जगतमा गरिएका यस्ता अनुसन्धानले अन्य पेसामा लागेकाहरुलाई पनि धरापमा पारेको छ । यस्ता अनुसन्धान अन्य क्षेत्रमा पनि हुनुपर्छ । योग्य तथा क्षमतावानले मात्र सम्बन्धित पेसामा संलग्न हुन पाउनु पर्छ । चिकित्सा पेसालाई अकुत आर्जनको माध्यम बनाउन शैक्षिक प्रमाणपत्र नै बदल्नेले नागरिकको जीवनको सुरक्षा कुनै पनि अवस्थामा सम्भव छैन । तसर्थ यस्ता कार्यमा संलग्न व्यक्ति, संस्था र विश्वविद्यालयलाई समेत अनुसन्धार गरी कारवाही होस । 

National Reconstruction Authority advice to go vdc/ward office for earthquake victims

Earthquake victims of  Lalitpur , Bhaktapur and Kathmandu, waiting for government engineers to come to them for the collection details of damage their houses suffered in last year’s quakes, need to stop waiting now.

They should need to go to their respective VDC office or ward offices because government engineers will not visit households to write down the victims’ names and collect the details of the damage they suffered.

The National Reconstruction Authority has decided not to survey all quake-damaged houses located in three districts of the Kathmandu Valley — Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. The authority decided against surveying each and every quake-damaged house, pointing that the exercise will be time-consuming.

The authority has issued a notice, asking quake victims, whose names have not been included on the victims’ list, to visit VDC and ward offices concerned within a week with copies of citizenship certificates, to register their names on the list.

 CEO at the NRA Sushil Gyawali informed about this at NRA board of directors meeting held at Residence of the PrimeMinister’s Office in Baluwatar on Friday.

पछिल्लो समयमा वैदेशिक रोजगारीबाट फर्किनेहरुमार्फत झिटिगुण्टा सुन ल्याएर कारोबार नै गर्नेहरु सक्रिय भएपछि सरकारले तयारी गहना अनिवार्य गरेको हो । यसअघि विदेशबाट फर्किने ४ सय ५० ग्रामसम्म काँचो सुन भन्सार तिरेर भित्र्याउन सक्थेे ।

अब भने ५० ग्राम सुनका गहनाबाहेक कुनै प्रकारका सुन ल्याउन नपाउने भन्सार विभागका प्रवक्ता सूर्य सेढाइले बताए ।  ५० ग्रामभन्दा बढी सुनका गहना ल्याएमा त्यसलाई सरकारले नियन्त्रणमा लिनेछ । काँचो सुन बोक्न भने प्रतिवन्ध नै गरिएको छ ।

साउनदेखि चाँदीका गहना पनि ५ सय ग्रामभन्दा बढी ल्याउन नपाइने भएको छ । यसअघि भन्सार तिरेर बुझाएर १ केजीसम्म चाँदीका गहना ल्याउन पाइन्थ्यो । साउन १ देखि नयाँ नियम लागूभएपछि खाडी मुलुकबाट र्फकने नेपालीलाई सुन बोकाउने क्रम अन्त्य हुने विश्वास गरिएको छ ।

“The construction of the 195-meter steel cantilever pathway, with 55 mtrs of approach trail, was recently completed along Yarubagar of the Budhigandaki River in Kerauja VDC of Gorkha district,” the UKaid said in a statement.

The pathway is said to be the first of its kind in Nepal beforly this kind of pathway not in nepal other places. According to the statement, around 8,000 locals in eight northern VDCs of the Gorkha district would benefit from the structure.

Landslides triggered by the 2015 earthquake had blocked the river. As a result, the river had changed its course eastwards and the trails at Jagat Gaun in Sirdibas and Yaru Bagar in Kerauja were swept away. Villages consequently were cut-off, unable to use their usual trails to bring food and other daily supplies from Aarughat. The alternative trails they were forced to use were difficult and long.

A local, Kanchha Gurung, also the chairperson of the approach trail users’ committee, in the statement applauded the construction and the impact it would have on peoples’ livelihoods.

Reduced transportation costs would lead to a fall in commodity prices and enable the local community to buy rice grain from Aarughat for a third of the post-earthquake price, he hoped.

The opening of the pathway would also provide students with a safe route to their local school and allow the Manaslu trekking route, which was obstructed post-earthquake, to reopen to trekkers.

UKaid provided financial support for the construction of the pathway. Samarth-Nepal Market Development Programme (Samarth-NMDP) implemented the construction in coordination with the Gorkha District Development Committee and the Department of Tourism, according to the statement.

The pathway was completed on  two month from April to June 2016,  Total invest of  Rs 37.5 million.

Nepal decided to seek compensation from the Canadian government

Nepal has decided to seek compensation from the Canadian government for the families of 13 Nepalis who used to security guard the Canadian Embassy in Afghanistan, and were killed in a suicide attack on June 20. Six Nepali security guards were injured in the attack.



Nepal’s Ambassador to Canada KaliPrasad Pokhrel has been instructed to take necessary process to claim compensation for the victims’ kin, informed a Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

कामका लागि विदेशमा रहेकाले आतंकवादी हमलामा ज्यान गुमाउनु दुखद नियति हो । यसले वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा रहेका नेपालीको सुरक्षाको प्रश्न उब्जाएको छ । सरकारले विहीबार मात्रै अफगानिस्तानसहित ४ द्वन्द्वग्रस्त मुलुकमा नेपालीलाई जान प्रतिवन्ध लगाउने निर्णय गर्‍यो ।

अधिकारीका अनुसार नेपाली कामदारका प्रमुख गन्तव्य मुलुकहरुमा पनि सुरक्षा सवाल निकै कमजोर छ भन्ने प्रमाण विदेशमा ज्यान गुमाउनेको संख्याले नै पुष्टी गर्छ । चालु आर्थिक वर्षमा मात्रै ७ सय १४ जना नेपालीले मलेसियासहितका खाडी मुलकुमा ज्यान गुमाएको वैदेशिक रोजगार प्रवर्द्धन बोर्डको रेकर्ड छ । यसमा अवैधानिक रुपमा गएर मृत्यु हुनेको संख्या गणना भएको छैन । यसअघि वर्षमा १ हजारको हाराहारीमा नेपालीले प्रमुख श्रम गन्तब्य मुलकुमा ज्यान गुमाउने गरेका छन् ।

पूर्वराजदूत अधिकारीका अनुसार गतब्य मुलुकसँग सरकारले कामदारको सुरक्षाका सवाल नउठाउँदा मलेसिया र खाडी मुलुक अफगानिस्तान भन्दा असुरक्षित देखिएका छन् ।

‘अफगानिस्तानमा दुःखद घटना भयो । तर, मलेसियासहित खाडी मुलुक र कोरियाबाट दिनको ३ जनाको शव बाकसमै र्फकन्छ भन्ने पनि सरकारले भुल्नुहुँदैन’ अधिकारीले भने- ‘यी देशमा पनि लुटपाट र ठगी गर्ने गिरोहबाट कामदार असुरक्षित छन् । प्रमुख गन्तव्य मुलुकमा सम्झौताअनुरुप तलव, ओभरटाइम नदिएर कामदार आर्थिक रुपमा असुरक्षित छन् । बेलामा उपचार नपाएर धेरै कामदारले मृत्युवरण गर्दैछन् । यी सबै सुरक्षाकै सवाल हो भन्ने बुझ्नुपर्छ ।’

किन हुन्छ बिदेशमा मृत्यु ?

वैदेशिक रोजगारीमा जानेहरुको अधिकांशको मुत्युको कारण कार्यस्थलको दुर्घटना हो भने केहीको सडक दुर्घटनामा मृत्यु हुने गरेको छ । कतिपय नेपालीले सुतेकै ठाउँमा विविध कारणले मृत्यु हुन्छन् भने  केहीको हत्या भएको छ भने केहीले आत्महत्या गरेको पाइएको छ । धेरै नेपालीहरुको हृदयाघातका कारणले पनि निधन हुने गरेको छ ।


कार्यस्थलमा सुरक्षा नअपनाउने र बढी जोखमयुक्त काममा नेपाली कामदारलाई लगाइने कारण कार्यस्थलमा हुने दुर्घटनाबाट अंगभंग हुने क्रम पनि निकै बढेको बोर्डका सहायक निर्देशक दिपेन्द्र पौडेेल बताउँछन् ।

सन् २०१५ मा ३ जना नेपालीको विदशेमै हत्या भएको छ । लुटपाटमा संलग्न हुने समूहबाट तथा व्यक्तिगत रिसिवीमा पनि हत्याका घटना हुने गरेका छन् ।

त्यसैगरी मृत्युदण्ड, प्राकृतिक प्रकोपलगायतका कारण पनि ३८ जना नेपालीले ज्यान गुमाएका छन् । २ सय ४८ जनाको प्राकृतिक मृत्यु भएको छ भने अन्य कारणले ३८ जनाले ज्यान गुमाएका छन् । प्राकृतिक मृत्यु बाहेक अन्य सबै कामदारको सुरक्षासँग नै सम्बन्धित रहेको देखिन्छ ।

कार्यस्थलमै मृत्यु, घाइते र अंगभंग भएकाहरुको परिवारले रोजगारदाताबाट एक रुपैयाँ पनि क्षतिपूर्ति पाउँदैनन् । त्यसै अहिले खाडीमा आउनेको सुरक्षाको ग्यारेन्टी सरकारले रोजगारदाता मुलकुसँग माग्नुपर्छ भन्ने आवाज उठेको छ ।

मधेसमा दाइजो हिंसाको समाचार कहीँ कतै आयो भने हिजोआज सामाजिक सञ्जालमा त्यो समाचारसँगै नागरिक समाजका सदस्यहरू र प्रशान्त झा , तुला नारायण साह लगायतका ट्याग भैहाल्दा रहेछन् ।
विखण्डनकारी शब्दको प्रयोग कहीँ कतै भयो भने मानिसहरूले सारा मधेसी नेताका अनुहार सम्झन थाल्छन् ।विकासमा भ्रष्टाचार भयो कि सप्तरी र महोत्तरी जिल्ला विकास समितिको तस्बिर मान्छेको मनमष्तिष्कमा नाच्न थाल्छ ।जब जब हामी जस्ताले आफ्ना विवेकले देखेको कुरा लेख्छौं वा बोल्छौं , तब तब हामीलाई जातिवादीको बिल्ला भिडाइन्छ।

समाजमा 'स्टेरियोटाइप इमेज'हरू पनि एउटा मुख्य समास्याको रूपमा रहेको हुन्छ । जस्तो अफ्रिकीहरू काला हुन्छन्, हिंस्रक हुन्छन् र अफ्रिका भनेको जङ्गलै जङ्गल भएको ठाँउ हो भन्ने सानैदेखि हाम्रो दिमागमा भरिएको हुँदा हाम्रो मस्तिस्कमा त्यस्तै तस्बिर आउँछ । यो जन्मजात पूर्वाग्रह हटाउन साह्रै गाह्रो हुन्छ .

नेपाल जस्तो मुलुकमा यो रोगबाट ग्रसित नभएको मानिस पाउन प्रायः गाह्रै छ । चाहे पिएचडीधारी नै किन नहुन् प्रायः सबै यो रोगबाट ग्रसित हुन्छन् । 

अफ्रिका एउटा माहादेश हो, त्यहाँ हरेक खालका मानिसहरू छन्- गोरा, काला र एक से एक पढेलेखेका विद्वानहरू पनि छन् । त्यहाँका मानिसहरू पनि शान्ति र विकास चाहन्छन् भन्ने कुरा हाम्रो दिमागमा सजिलै पस्दैन । 

त्यस्तै अमेरिका र युरोपतिर कस्तो 'स्टेरियोटाइप' भेटिन्छ भने, मुस्लिम भन्नेबित्तिकै सबै अलकायदाका सदस्य हुन्छन् र आतंकवादी हुन्छन् । मुस्लिममा एक सय एक अहिंसावादी र शान्तिका प्रतीक हुने व्यक्तिहरू छन् । कुरानले शान्तिको पनि शिक्षा दिन्छ भन्ने मानिसहरूको सोचमा प्राय :। आउँदैन किन भने त्यो 'आम धारणा' निर्माण गर्ने संचारजगत युरोपेली र अमेरिकीहरूको नियन्त्रणमा छ 

ठीक त्यस्तै नेपालमा मधेसी भन्ने बित्तिकै दाइजो लिएकै होला, महिला हिंसा गरेकै होला, जातीय छुवाछुत गरेकै होला, पारिबाट शैक्षिक प्रमाणपत्र ल्याएकै होला भन्ने स्टेरियोटाइप छ। मधेशी मूलका सरकारी कर्मचारीले भ्रष्टाचार गर्छ नै होला, एनजीओवाला मधेसी त डलरवाला भैहाले, मधेसी वकिल विचौलीया होला, मधेसी तरकारीवालाले त ठग्छ नै, कवाडीवालाले राम्रै सामान बटुलेर लैजान्छन्। 

यस्ता धारणा हाम्रो दिमागमा किन बन्छन? पढेलेखेका र फरक विचार राख्ने र आफनो हक अधिकारको कुरा गर्ने मधेसीहरू किन राम्रा हुनै सक्दैनन् ? 'राम्रा'मा पर्नलाई कि त उनीहरू' कोअप्ट 'भएर शासकको भक्ति गाउनु पर्यो, कि त कृत्रिम रुपमा हिमाल पहाड तराई कोही छैन पराईको भजन मण्डलीमा सामेल भएर सही र आफनो मनको भावनालाई मनभित्रै दमित गर्नुपर्यो । 

सही कुरा गर्ने भन्दा पनि मिठा र चिल्ला कुरा गरेर यथास्थितिवादलाई बिहान बेलुका चाकडी गरी देशलाई कहिले उँभो लाग्न नदिने प्रवृत्तिलाई किन प्रोहत्सान छ हामीकहाँ ? 

बुझ्नुपर्ने कुरा के हो भने, तिनका फर्मुलाले काम गर्ने भए त नेपालको अहिले यो हालत नै हुने थिएन । 

हामी नेपालीले कहिले पनि आफ्नो सामाजिक, पारिवारीक र शैक्षिक पृष्ठिभूमिकै कारण निर्मित गलत अवधारणा र विचारहरू आलोचनात्मक कोणबाट हेर्ने र गल्तीलाई सच्याउने प्रयास गरेनौँ । 

ब्राजिलियन शिक्षाविद् पाउलो फ्रेरीले आफ्नो पृष्ठिभुमिलाई प्रश्न गर्ने सक्ने क्षमता नै शैक्षिकस्तरको मापन हो भनेका छन् ।तर बिडम्बना हाम्रो देशमा प्रमाणपत्रधारीहरू मात्रै भए। जो जति पढे लेखेका छन्, तिनीहरू त्यति धेरै रुढिवादी छन्। 

तिनीहरू बाहिरबाट चिल्ला कुरा गर्छन, तर तिनको मनमष्तिष्क संकीर्णताले भरिएको छ। तिनीहरूभन्दा त गाउँका 'अनपढ' धेरै विवेकी छन्-जसलाई ठीक / बेठीक राम्ररी भने पछि कमसेकम सुन्छन् र मान्छन् पनि । प्रमाणपत्रधारी त कहिले आफू पनि नसुध्रिने र देशलाई पनि उँभो लाग्न नदिने गरी कसम खाएर बसेका छन् । तिनको प्रमाणपत्र र ज्ञानको प्रयोगको मापन त देशको अवस्थाले देखाई नै रहेकोछ । आफ्नो ज्यानमात्रै त जनावरले पनि पाल्छ। 

जातिवादी र रुढिवादी सोच त्याग्न सकेको खण्डमा देश बन्न समय लाग्दैन । अहिले देशका सामु रहेको मुद्दा भनेको समावेशी लोकतन्त्रको हो । यही समावेशी लोकतन्त्रले देशमा अपमानित भएर बसेका मधेसी, थारुहरूको समस्याको समाधान गर्नेछ। 

तर विडम्बना अहिलेसम्म हामी देशलाई झापा, मोरङ, सुनसरी, कैलाली र कञ्चनपुर पाँच जिल्लाको विवादको बन्धकी बनाएर राखेका छौँ । पाँच जिल्लाको विवादले देशलाई कहिलेसम्म 'होस्टेज' बनाएर राख्ने त? मुलुकको आर्थिक प्रगति कहिलेसम्म रोकिराख्ने? पुस्ता दर पुस्ता के कात्रो रेमिटान्समा मात्रै भर पर्ने ? सेक्युरिटी गार्ड र हाउसकिपरको जागिरबाट आएको रियालबाट हाम्रो राष्ट्रियतालाई कहिलेसम्म टिकाइ राख्ने त ? अब अलि फरक हिसाबले सोच्ने बेला आयो कि? अफगानिस्तानबाट आएको हाम्रा दाजुभाइको लासको डिब्बाले दिएको शिक्षालाई आत्मसाथ गर्ने कि ?तीनका हत्याको दोष जति तालीवानीलाई जान्छ त्यो भन्दा केही कम भए पनि देश भित्रै रोजगार उप्लबध गराउन नसक्ने हामीलाई पनि जान्छ । 

सानैदेखि हामीले पालेका पूर्वाग्रहको 'ह्याङओभर' बाट थोरै भएपनि आफूलाई मुक्त गर्ने कि? 

फरक हिसाबले सोचौं त- मधेशी, थारू जतिको राष्ट्रवादी यो देशमा को होला नै? सत्र सय किलोमिटरको भारत नेपालको खुल्ला सीमा विनाबर्दी र विनाहतियार पहरेदारी गरेका छन् मधेसी , थारुले। सायद सिक्किममा मधेसी भएको भए आज सिक्किमिकरण हुँदैनथ्यो कि ? पारि अर्थात भारतपट्टि राम्रो विकास भएको छ तर आफ्नो माटो छोडेर मधेसी , थारु किन त्यता जाँदैनन्? सेना, प्रशासन कर्मचारी र न्यायालयमा एउटै समुदायको वर्चस्व भएपनि मधेसी थारुहरू करदाता र मतदाता किन भैराखेका छन् ? 

तीनका जुत्तामा तपाईँ आफना खुटा राखेर हेर्नुस्। 

सेना, प्रशासन, कर्मचारी र न्यायालयमा आज पहाडेहरूको जुन उपस्थिति छ मधेसी थारुहरूको त्यस्तै एकल उपस्थिति त्यहाँ भएको भए तपाईँले कुन स्तरको विद्रोह गर्नुहुन्थ्यो हामी कल्पना समेत गर्न सक्दैनौँ? तपाईँले गर्दा सबै ठीक र अन्य समूहले गरेको सबै बेठीक हुनु कारण चाहिँ के हो त ? कि त तपाईँले भन्न सक्नु पर्यो, हाम्रो नश्ल उत्तम हो र अरुको कमसल हो! 

यसकारण फरक हिसाबले आफूलाई प्रश्न गरौं, मधेसबाट कर जम्मै सरकारले उठाउने र मत जति कांग्रेस एमालेले तर दाइजो हिंसाको समाचारमा हामीलाई सधै 'ट्याग' किन गर्ने?

Denmark has decided to close the embassy in Kathmandu by the end of 2017 and phase out its development support.

In a program organized to mark 25 years of Denmark in Nepal, Danish ambassador to Nepal Kirsten Geelan said, “For 25 years Denmark's cooperation with Nepal has focused on bettering people´s everyday life; from dairy farming, education, human rights, renewable energy and environment, forest management and economic growth.”

It is my firm belief that even though the Danish Embassy will close in the future, she said, adding that the strong diplomatic relations between Nepal and Denmark will remain and continue developing.

Highlighting the progress made by Nepal in the past 25 years, she said that Nepal has developed significantly since cooperation started between the two countries 25 years ago.

“We have witnessed positive democratic changes and with the new constitution adopted last year, Nepal reached a milestone,” she said. “It is my sincere hope that Nepal will continue to build stronger and accountable institutions to the benefit of the people.”

Every year thousands of Danish tourists visit Nepal to experience the unique and beautiful culture and nature, she said. “Often strong friendships are formed and many Danes come back year after year.”

Today Nepal Airlines plane is preparing to bring out home the 12 Nepali nationals, who died in terrorist attack in the Afghan on Monday. The 12 Nepalee are working as security guards on the Canadian Embassy in Kabul city. 12 nepali died in a Taliban suicide attack while they were heading to the work station in a bus.

The Nepal Airlines plane landed at Kabul at 6.30 am and plans to bring the bodies to Kathmandu.  A meeting held at Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa had decided to airlift the bodies using an NA plane.

Tribhuvan International Airport operates from 6 am till 12pm. Due to extraordinary circumstances, the flight for Kabul left at 3.30 am, NA General Manager Sugat Ratna Kamshakar said. The government plans to bring back Nepali nationals willing to return home from Afghanistan.

Yadav Prasad Koirala, spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the government has made arrangements to bring them home on the NA Boeing. Those wishing to return home can contact the Nepali Embassy in Pakistan or Nepals Acting Ambassador to Pakistan, who is in Kabul at present. But airlifting the 12 bodies and other five Nepali nationals who injured in the sucide bomb attack.
